Summary

The Record of Site Condition (RSC) is a mandatory requirement of the Management Process outlined in the Guideline for the Management of Contaminated Properties,and applies to all contaminated sites in New Brunswick.

The RSC is essentially a communication tool that serves as a summary of the environmental conditions of a site at the time of site closure and provides interested parties with this information in a standard format.

The RSC submitted to, and acknowledged by, the DENV becomes a public document and indicates to all interested parties that the Management Process outlined in the Guideline and related technical documents have been followed. As such, the RSC indicates that the site is acceptable, as of the date of the document, for the indicated current or reasonably foreseeable future site activities.

As of September 1, 2006, Version 2.0 of the Contaminated Sites Management Record of Site Condition should no longer be used by Site Professionals.


Instructions for Completing the RSC Form v 2.1

This document provides assistance to Site Professionals who, on behalf of Responsible Parties, are completing a Record of Site Condition (RSC) in accordance with the Guideline for the Management of Contaminated Sites (Guideline), November, 2003 (Version 2.0). In accordance with the Guideline, the RSC is a mandatory requirement of the Management Process and applies to all contaminated sites in New Brunswick, including sites managed under the Limited Remedial Action Process.
