Atlantic PIRI and the Nova Scotia Department of Environment and Labour are pleased to offer an opportunity for new and experienced users to increase their understanding of the Atlantic RBCA v.2.1 software.

This 2-day session is designed so participants can attend Day One only, Day Two only, or both. Each day of the training qualifies for 6 Professional Development Hours.

Participants should bring their own laptop computer, with the Atlantic RBCA v2.1 software installed. Temporary installations of the software and update patches will be made available from Groundwater Services International. Participants will be receiving additional information once registration forms are received at the Department of Environment.

NOTE: Participants should have a laptop that is running Excel 97, 2000, 2002 or 2003. The Atlantic RBCA software is not compatible with Excel 2007.

Day Two : The Regulatory Environment
and Hands-On Case Studies

In this interactive lab session, participants will work through detailed case studies using the Atlantic RBCA v.2.1 software. The case study data will cover many possible aspects of risk assessment, from identifying required data in the site assessment report to sensitive parameters of the model. During the second half of the day, Provincial regulators will address the features of their contaminated site management processes and take questions.

Registration

Cost: $250 per day includes any applicable taxes, training materials, breaks and lunch.

Early Bird Registration. Register before February 2nd and save $20 per day or save $40 for both days.

Please Note: Seating is limited to 30 participants. Payment in full by cash, cheque or money order is due prior to the start of the training session.
